Opus Law Acts in Terrorism Dissemination Case
Ben Jones, Director, represented K who was charged with six counts of dissemination of a terrorist publication. K was arrested on the runway at Manchester Airport and his electronic devices uplifted. It was found that he had been using the Twitter platform to re-tweet publications supportive of Islamic State.
Ultimately pleas were accepted to three of the charges and our client was sentenced to one year imprisonment.
