Ben Jones instructed to represent R in relation to an allegation of murder. This was an allegation bourne from a travellers feud which resulted in a murder in Leeds. Much of the prosecution evidence comprised of telephone evidence and cell site evidence.

 

An independent expert was instructed and produced a report which allowed the defence to negotiate pleas with the Crown. R was subsequently found not guilty of murder but pleaded guilty to an offence of conspiracy to commit Section 18, on the basis of his involvement in the theft of a truck, later used to facilitate the attack and murder.
