The case involved a conspiracy to import 2.5 tonnes of cannabis from Spain to the UK.

 

Opus Law were instructed by W, the director of one of the logistics companies said to be involved in the conspiracy. W was said to have played a leading role in the conspiracy, supplying vehicles and drivers to be used to import the drugs.

 

W was acquitted following a 12 week trial at Southampton Crown Court.  Co-defendants in the case received guilty verdicts and substantial prison sentences.
