NOT GUILTY in Birmingham Fraud Conspiracy Case
Opus Law acted for F who after a nine week trial was the only defendant who was acquitted unanimously by the jury. F was charged with conspiracy to commit fraud by false representation. F was one of eight defendants in what the prosecution described was a complex series of incidents involving fraudulently obtaining documentation for high value/cherished number plates, the sale /possession of cloned /stolen vehicles and fraudulently obtaining vehicle insurance. The matter attracted nation wide publicity because one of the defendants complained that his Ferrari which he parked on the steps of the Crown Court was subsequently seized by West Midlands Police and crushed.
