NOT GUILTY verdict in The countries largest ever money laundering trial

Ben Jones, Director, acted for B in the UKs largest ever money laundering trial. Opus Law was instructed at the police station in this matter and remained instructed over six years later when a jury finally delivered a not guilty verdict after a seven month trial.

It was alleged that our client, a chartered accountant, assisted the laundering of around £260 million through the gold bullion trade. Those allegations were found to be totally false after verdicts were delivered.

During this incredibly complex case we utilised the services of our own in house advocate John Bottomley, Kings Counsel Nicholas Johnson  of Exchange Chambers and Beverley Ibbotson of Forths Forensic Accountants. Thousands of hours of preparation and instruction taking resulted in the just outcome for our client.
